SERVICE & OUTREACH
There are many opportunities at ALC in which you can volunteer your time, talents, or offer donations to charitable efforts both locally and abroad. Volunteers are a major asset to the programs of our church.
LOCAL SERVICE & OUTREACH
Our congregation serves the meal at Loaves and Fishes on the 3rd Monday of each month. If you are available to assist with meal preparation or serving, please sign up at church or contact the church office. This meal is served once a month in the name of Christ as a gift to people in the community. It is a wonderful ministry. Your help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Members in American Lutheran gather canned food and items to be placed in “Birthday Bags” for the Food Resource Center in Livingston year-round.
Member teams deliver Meals on Wheels daily, four scheduled weeks throughout the year. The ministry of visiting with these people as well as delivering food is a wonderful way to provide care for some members of our Livingston community.
INTERNATIONAL SERVICE & OUTREACH
WOMEN OF THE ELCA
Women of the ELCA meet monthly after worship. We are a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit. We commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, society and the world.

The entire congregation participates in preparing Norwegian Meatballs, Salad and Lefse for sale on a take-out basis in November.
Quilting at American Lutheran occurs January through April, Tuesdays from 9:00 am to noon in the lower level. Each year our quilters send 100 quilts to Lutheran World Relief and they are distributed around the world where needed.
Items for Personal Care Kits and Children’s School Kits are collected throughout the year and assembled in early April. These kits are sent with the Quilts to Lutheran World Relief and distributed around the world.
